Guild Philosophy

Our vision is to be the leading professional body for Dog Trainers in Britain today, representing members in dealings with all local and government institutions, the media as well as the general dog owning public.

The Guild of Dog Trainers has been founded within the tradition of dog training in Britain today. It provides a forum through meetings and training courses to bring together senior representatives of all sectors of canine education to encourage discussion and the exchange of views.

The Guild motto is "Lead by example. Teach, that you may learn", and seeks to express a commitment to continued professional learning of the behaviour of dogs and their complex relationships with people.
